At Life Essence Academy, we prioritize building study skills and fostering self-directed learning. We prefer to refer to our students as “learners” as this approach prepares them to adapt to new challenges and succeed. It helps them become independent and lifelong learners, preparing them to excel in national examinations, post-secondary education, and their future careers or businesses.
We build on a child’s curiosity
Schools should nurture a child’s natural curiosity instead of stifling it. Children have an innate curiosity and should have the opportunity to explore new things every day, experiment, ask questions, and stay curious about themselves and their surroundings. We aim to foster this trait by creating an engaging learning environment with meaningful challenges. We believe that creative thinking, taking action, and having an investigative attitude are essential for our learners’ future success. We encourage them to question established assumptions and help them explore the essence of these assumptions or challenge them.

Each learner is paired with a coach supported by subject experts. The coach helps create a learning path, ensures alignment with the Nsibidee Education framework, and provides guidance, feedback, and support for tackling new tasks. Together, they set high expectations, broaden perspectives, and encourage collaboration with peers outside of Life Essence Academy.
Parents are not left out
Life Essence Academy acknowledges that parents are primarily responsible for their children’s upbringing. As agents, we operate under the authority of the parents and respect the family as the core spiritual and moral unit of society. We aim to support and revitalize the family structure rather than diminish it. Additionally, we welcome and appreciate parents who are willing to contribute voluntarily by offering extra guidance, internships, workshops related to their profession, and inspirational sessions to share their experiences and knowledge with the learners.

Just like in real life, challenges and conundrums are essential spices that add flavor and depth to our experiences.At Life Essence Academy, we believe in cultivating a dynamic learning environment through the use of Challenges and Conundrums. Challenges present opportunities to explore problems, questions, and areas of interest, while Conundrums provide thought-provoking puzzles that test your critical thinking and communication skills. Embracing both is integral to fostering independent thinking and constructive dialogue.
Life Essence Academy is dedicated to nurturing a new generation of Africans whose upbringing is based on African values and achievements, while also having a deep understanding of arts and sciences. This new generation will be able to integrate into society and contribute to the sustainable development of Nigeria and African society in social, cultural, economic, technological, industrial, and ecological aspects.
Life Essence Academy is wholly owned and operated by Life Essence Limited. Life Essence Academy Gboko is the pilot school of Life Essence Limited. Life Essence Academy shall be the first of several schools to be established and operated by Life Essence Limited across the country.
